Follow the adventure travel blog of the Biology Department 2010 Winter Expedition to Australia. Students along with Professors Chris Walser, Mark Gunderson, and Dora Gallegos are on a 5-week trip to the rainforests and coral reefs of eastern Australia.

Biologist, Dr. Eric Yensen, receives grant from Zoo Boise. The Zoo Boise conservation fund supports research that focuses on projects that help protect animals found at Zoo Boise. Dr.Yensen's research is on the Idaho ground squirrel, which is a candidate for listing under the U.S. Endangered Species Act. www.zooboise.org/home.aspx |

Congratulations to Kate Arbon and Jackeline Rodriguez Reyes for receiving the INBRE Research Award! This award recognizes students who demonstrate excellence in and dedication to biomedical -related research. Kate and Jackeline have recently published their research in the journal of Toxicology in Vitro. |

Congratulations to this year's recipients of NIH INBRE summer fellowships: Cody Christensen, Dayne Filer, Justin Martin and Kim Stucker. Cody and Dayne are working in Dr. Sara Heggland's research lab. Justin and Kim are working in Dr. Mark Gunderson's research lab. The fellows will present their summer research at the Annual Idaho INBRE conference in Pocatello, Idaho in August. |
