Davis UWC Scholars
Davis United World College Scholars
The College of Idaho is pleased to announce it has been involved in the Davis United World College Scholars Program since the fall of 2006. Almost 40 UWC students have enrolled at The C of I due to this initiative.
The Davis United World College Scholars program, generously funded by the Shelby Davis family, entitles graduates from any of the twelve United World Colleges to receive a need-based grant of up to $10,000 per year towards the costs of undergraduate study at The College of Idaho.
UWC graduates who enroll at The College of Idaho are also eligible to receive a merit scholarship to help cover their cost of attendance. This grant is exclusively for first-year applicants (not transfer students), and as is the case with all merit awards, is renewable provided the student maintains a 3.0 cumulative GPA while a student at The College of Idaho.
Other benefits for Davis United World College Scholars include:
- Sophomore standing and 30 units of credit for an I.B. Diploma score of 28 or better
- Preferred status for admission to The College of Idaho
- Dedicated academic and career advising
Guidelines for Davis United World College Scholars
The Goal
The Davis United World College Scholars program is intended to help internationalize the American undergraduate experience by supporting need-based scholarships for graduates from the United World Colleges. Through Mr. Davis’ close ties with the Untied World College network and generous support of both UWC students and The College of Idaho, we hope to further enhance the overall learning experience at The College of Idaho and add more diversity to our campus.
