Transfer Students

We recognize that every transfer student comes from different circumstances. You probably have specific questions about credits, academic programs, financial aid, and student life here. We'll answer those questions for you, and walk you through the steps.

The transfer application deadline for fall enrollment is August 1. The transfer application deadline for winter/spring enrollment is December 1.

Here's what you need to do:

  • Complete and submit an application for admission, including your personal statement.
  • Complete and submit The College of Idaho Scholarship Application.
  • Submit official transcripts from all high schools and colleges you've attended. Please note that to be accepted, transcripts must be mailed directly to the Admission Office at The College of Idaho, from the issuing institution and may not be hand carried.
  • Submit a Letter of Recommendation from someone who knows you from an academic setting.
  • Submit official test scores from ACT, SAT, or GED.

  • For more information on the acceptance of junior college credits and admission requirements, please refer to the online college catalog.
  • To help you asses how your current credits will transfer, check the Liberal Arts Core Curriculum. For further help in regard to transfer of credits,please contact the Admission office.
