
Janae Olds scored a game-high 20 points and Northwest Nazarene forced 31 turnovers, as the Crusaders defeated The College of Idaho, 95-58, in the exhibition opener for both teams in Nampa.
An early 11-0 run staked the NAIA Coyotes out to an 11-3 lead on a Marquina Gilliam-Hicks three-point play, but NNU roared back, holding The C of I without a field goal over a four minute stretch, scoring eleven consecutive points to take the lead for good. The Crusaders blew the game wide open in the second half, converting 20-of-33 shots from the floor.
Nicole Gall led the Yotes with 14 points and six rebounds, with Nicole Bruce adding ten points. Gilliam-Hicks had nine points, including 5-of-7 shooting from the line.
Guards Brittney Roggenkamp and Lindsey Brady each had 16 points for the Division II Crusaders, with Heather Adams scoring nine off the bench. Kristin Hein had seven points for NNU, but led all players with ten rebounds.
The Lady Yotes open the regular-season on Thursday, playing the first of three games at the Westminster Invitational - meeting Carroll College at 4 p.m.
