Leadbetter named NAIA Scholar-Athlete

College of Idaho women’s tennis player Kate Leadbetter was honored today as a Daktronics NAIA All-America Scholar-Athlete, announced by the national office in Kansas City, Mo.

 

The junior from Grand Junction, Colo., was one of 121 student-athletes to be honored at the conclusion of the NAIA National Championships for their efforts in the classroom.

 

To be eligible for the award, a recipient must be of at least junior academic status and maintain a 3.50 cumulative grade point average. 

 

For the year, the Coyotes have recorded 29 national scholar-athletes, with honorees in men’s golf, baseball, softball, and track yet to be released.
