- What a season it was for the Yotes' football team. An undefeated regular season, a conference championship, and a first-ever home playoff game. It was truly a memorable season for the program, which culminated in an appearance in the NAIA national quarterfinals. The team finished the season third in the nation among NAIA football teams in attendance at over 3,500 fans per game at Simplot Stadium.
- There was plenty of talk in the community about the football team's historic run, including air time on KIVI TV and KTVB TV.
- The talk extended beyond the Boise Valley as well, with teammates from Hermiston, Oregon, getting some press in their hometown. (East Oregonian)
- Once the season ended, head coach Mike Moroski was named the Coach of the Year and Darius-James Peterson earned Offensive Player of the Year accolades by the Frontier Conference. (Frontier Conference Release)
- Oh, but that's not all. Senior kicker Kyle Mitchell became the second player in program history to earn First Team NAIA All American honors by AFCA (American Football Coaches Association). Teammates Josh Brown and Peterson each received Second Team All-American honors.

- Each year, Kevin Miller of KIDO Radio visits the College for their "Promote Our Schools, Secure Our Futures" event and broadcasts his morning show live from the McCain Student Center. His visit in November included interviews with students (Shanaya Fox, pictured), administrators (Paul Bennion, Reagan Rossi), and faculty (Rick Goodwin) to feature some of the great things happening at The College of Idaho. - Senior Blake Cowman, who serves as the student body president at the College, is featured in this story about the Governor's Cup and the scholarships it provides. (Idaho Statesman)
- Political Economy professor Jasper LiCalzi's opinion is always in demand around election time, especially when an historic runoff election is required for the mayoral post in Boise. (KSBX)
- Speaking of faculty whose insights are in demand, Rochelle Johnson of the environmental studies department recently traveled to Salmon, Idaho, to participate in a Smithsonian Institute historical exhibition. (Idaho Falls Post Register)
- Juan Moreno-Ramirez '08 was recently featured for his work at Riverstone International School as an Innovative Educator (KTVB)
- Ali Rabe '10, who is also a trustee of the College, continues to advocate against eviction and homelessness as the executive director of the Jesse Tree, a local non-profit organization. She recently made appearances in both the Idaho Statesman and on KIVI TV.
- Marcia Wing '76, another member of our board of trustees, touted the College's successes in a letter that was published by multiple newspapers in Idaho, including the Idaho Press.
- JIll Twedt '01, also a trustee, was recently honored as a "Leader in Law" by the Idaho Business Review.
- Dr. Jesse Chlebeck, M.D., ’08 will be joining the Saltzer Health Clinic in Nampa in January. (Idaho Press)

- The College's men's basketball team, ranked nationally in the top ten, knocked off Canyon County rival Northwest Nazarene University to secure the Mayor's Cup. At the heart of the win - key players who hail from the state of Idaho. They're not all included in the photo, but some of them are. (Idaho Statesman)
- Two student-athletes from Wood River High School in Hailey, Idaho, have committed to attend The College of Idaho. (Idaho Mountain Express)
