The Information Technology Department of The College of Idaho ("IT") is responsible for the proper security, operation, and configuration of all College-owned computers, software, network equipment, telephones, computer labs, and fixed infrastructure.

Services for Employees
The IT Department supports all College-owned instructional and business equipment, including employee computers, classroom projectors, copiers and printers, software, and network devices. Employees must contact the helpdesk to submit a support request to [email protected] or stop by Covell Hall during:
IT office hours from 12:00 Noon to 4:00 PM.
IT Technology Provisioning
IT also acts as central purchasing for all hardware and software, including online subscriptions. All purchases, whether paid by the IT or individual department budget, must be approved and sourced through IT. If you need to acquire new hardware or software please make a request to [email protected]. All technology purchases require a statement of academic or administrative need and approved budget.
Information Security
IT administers the College’s information security program. The success of the program depends on everyone being responsible for information security according to their College role, and the information they are allowed to access and use. Questions, issues, or concerns about information security should be sent to helpdesk.

Contacting the Helpdesk
Our IT office, in Covell Hall, is open for appointments and walk-in help. An appointment will reduce your wait time and are always appreciated. Please email [email protected] or call 208-459-5777 for an appointment. appointments are booked using the Outlook Calendar. Our normal business hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Friday and IT office hours are from 12:00 Noon to 4:00 PM. Our IT service response time depends on demand.
