Fearlessly Pursue Your Passions

At The College of Idaho, “seize the day” isn’t just an expression — it’s how we live life. We jump feet first, enthusiastically and authentically, into everything we care about, pursue or want to explore. We see theater as an opportunity for social commentary, we fervently debate scientific theories and new technologies in the quad or over lunch, and in clubs and organizations, we think about all the ways we can enrich our campus and beyond. And that’s before we plan an impromptu hiking trip, head into the world to grow a global perspective or step onto the court to capture another NAIA Championship title.

As Yotes, we’re creative, original, dedicated and relentless. We know no one is like us, and that’s what draws us all together. And across our close-knit family, we empower each other, showing up to cheer athletic pursuits, applaud concerts and amplify each other’s endeavors. Why not join us and become a part of something great?

Perspectives from the #YoteFam

The College of Idaho has brought students together from all over the world to cultivate an environment of scholarship, comradery, and community that is practically impossible to find in any other academic or professional sphere. The experience and knowledge the College facilitates are invaluable for personal, professional, and community enrichment which one would be hard-pressed to find at any other institution.
Robyn Griffitts-Harper ‘23 B.A. in History and Spanish with a minor in Geography.

The best experiences I’ve had as a Yote are tied to our family-like culture. When our whole basketball team decided to help out on campus clean-up day, I was very shocked to see our presidents, who looked like they had been out cleaning for a couple of hours. That’s when I know that this place was different. It starts with our leadership! They will do anything to make sure you have the best experience possible at CofI, even if it’s picking weeds.
JAKE O’NEIL ‘23 B.A. in Exercise Science with a minor in Psychology & Health and a graduate certificate in Sport Administration.

Follow your passions and your curiosity; enjoy the diversity of things you get to learn in this space. You will meet peers that you continue to enjoy knowing as you develop beyond undergrad. All of these pieces will lead you places you didn't know you'd want to go when you first arrived.
Zoey Ingram ‘26 B.S. in Psychology and Chemistry, Specialized in Biochemistry, with minors in Scientific Computing, PFE and Theatre

The College is a place where so many activities, sports, clubs and experiences are offered. Make the most of it! Don’t be afraid to try participating in opportunities that are available to you. The students here truly become your peers, and it’s easy to form lasting bonds and relationships with those who share similar interests with you.
Kyle Trone ‘26 B.A in Music with minors in Art & Design, History and Scientific Computing.

What I’ve come to appreciate the most is the diverse atmosphere present at the College. Serving as the AFRO Club President, I was able to offer a safe environment that celebrated culture and inclusivity for our students while also improving my personal leadership skills. I was able to immerse myself in my studies and campus involvement, while also pursuing excellence above all.
Teresa Da Silva ‘24 B.A in Business Administration and International Political Economy with minors in Communication and Environmental Studies.

As a college, our “Yote” culture is part of our identity early on in our undergraduate career, building experiences that I take with me for the rest of my life. More specifically, my journey as a member, leader and captain of the Yote football program has provided me with lifelong friendships and the opportunity to pursue my dreams of playing professional football following graduation.
Garrett Rehberg ‘23 B.A. in Business Administration with minors in Spanish and Natural Sciences, a specialization in Finance and a graduate certificate in Sport Administration.
