The one-year certificate program graduated six students last spring. There are 14 enrolled this year, all of whom are students who have already received their undergraduate degrees.
The project, titled “She Codes for Peace – Girl Empowerment through Coding,” used computer coding to connect young women, in Angola and beyond, so they can learn what is possible.
The Fiske Guide to Colleges has been the leading guide to more than 300 four-year schools, including quotes from actual students to help give prospective students insight that they don’t get elsewhere.
Hand says it is common for books to be “optioned” by producers for possible production into a television or movie later on. Getting from that point to finding a studio to pay for and ultimately film it is difficult.
He has barely stopped smiling since arriving on campus. His dorm room in Hayman Hall, the meals at Simplot Dining Hall, even his proximity to Cruzen-Murray Library, he says it has all been wonderful.
Harris was hired to create the mural, 21.5 feet long and 8.5 feet high, on a wall inside the Chief Standing Bear Justice Administration Building in Nebraska.
