The College of Idaho requires all student and employee vehicles to display a valid parking permit when on campus. Parking permits are available online and can be paid via credit card or in-person payment to Campus Safety.
Student Parking
Planning on bringing a vehicle with you to campus? You'll need to purchase a student parking permit. Student parking permits are $95 and allow you to park in any of the campus lots.
Student permits are issued within one month of the school year starting and are valid for the academic year. Once you receive your parking permit place it on the back window of your vehicle. If you need to bring a different vehicle, or your permit becomes damaged or lost, please contact Campus Safety prior to parking on campus.
Parking permits are required to park in any campus parking lots, including the Activities Center and McCain lots.
Any student with three tickets or more will have their account frozen, which means the student will be unable to register for classes until any outstanding fines are paid. Parking citations may be paid by credit card at Campus Safety or by credit card or other means at the Business Office.
Parking fines are issued to those who fail to purchase a permit, violate fire lane or reserved space restrictions, or park in handicapped spaces without the appropriate state-issued placard or license plates. You are not allowed to register for classes until any outstanding fines are paid. Fines are $50 for most violations, $75 for fire-lane violations, and $250 for parking in a handicap-accessible space.
Visitor parking by Cruzen-Murray Library is for Admissions visitors only, and an Admissions visitor pass is required to park there. This is enforced 24/7 and this is a tow-zone.
Employee Parking
Employees must register for a permit online but do not have to pay for a permit. Employee permits are valid for Jewett, McCain and JAAC parking lots. Employee permits are issued within one month of the school year starting and are valid for multiple years. Once you receive your parking permit place it on the back window of your vehicle. If you need to bring a different vehicle, or your permit becomes damaged or lost, please contact Campus Safety prior to parking on campus.

Visitor Parking
As noted above, the visitor's parking section in the Hayman parking lot, next to Cruzen-Murray Library, is for admissions visitors only. All others who park there will be ticketed and may be towed. Weekend student parking is allowed in the visitor spaces but cars parked there after 6:00 pm on Sunday are subject to being ticketed. Repeat offenders will be towed. Other visitor parking is available in the lot next to the J.A. Albertson Activities Center on the west side of campus. View the campus map here.
