- The College of Idaho intends to offer classes in person for the fall semester of 2020. There were questions because of the COVID-19 situation that caused the campus to shift to online learning this spring but College leadership plans to resume residency and on-campus instruction, which earned media attention from the Idaho Press, KBOI TV, Idaho Education News, and KSBX Radio, among others.
- Senior Natalie Little contracted the virus in March. She's doing well now but her story caught the attention of the Idaho Press and she also told it to the campus community through the Coyote a Day feature.
- Jacob Graviet, a student at Vale High School in Oregon, shadowed the College's history department before completing his senior project. (Argus Observer)
- Soccer coach Brian Smith and basketball coach Janis Beal each landed a recruit from Pocatello High School this spring. It's the same person - Adi Spillett. She will compete in both sports for the College. (Idaho State Journal)
- Ali Rabe '10, along with being an alum and trustee of the College, is the executive director of the non-profit Jesse Tree. The Jesse Tree has been in the news lately as people have faced eviction during the COVID-19 pandemic. The Jesse Tree works to prevent homelessness. The Idaho Statesman and KTVB-TV both talked to Rabe about the non-profit's work during this time.
- Rabe is also running for the Idaho State Senate in District 17. She earned the endorsement of the Idaho Statesman in the upcoming democratic primary.
- Matt Pember '96 is seeking re-election as the Gooding County Prosecutor. (Twin Falls Times News)
- Kris McDivitt Tompkins '72, the former CEO of Patagonia, Inc., and her late husband (Doug Tompkins) have invested time and resources in conservationism in the South American country of Chile. (National Geographic)
- Kris Komori '05 is helping to provide people in the Boise area with food to eat during tough times. (Idaho Statesman)
- The legend of Hillary Holt '14 continues to grow. (Idaho Press)
- Roosevelt Adams '18 is awaiting his opportunity to begin playing pro ball in the Philippines. (Philippines Basketball Association)
- Adams is one of six former Yotes pursuing basketball careers overseas. (Idaho Press)
- The men's basketball team has added a transfer student-athlete from Eastern Washington University of the Big Sky Conference. (Idaho Press)
- Darius-James Peterson ended his record-setting tenure at the College last fall, but his football career isn't over yet. The All-American quarterback, who will graduate from the College in May, signed a contract with British Columbia of the Canadian Football League and he's anxious to make the most of the opportunity.
