- Deandre Small '18, after earning her degree in Health & Human Performance at the College, has gone on to earn an advanced degree at St. Ambrose University in Iowa. She received her Doctor of Physical Therapy this year while serving as an assistant coach for the school's swim team. Small was a two-time All-American in the pool at The College of Idaho before pursuing her advanced degree at St. Ambrose.
- The directors and producers of the documentary "Free Solo" are eying another project, this one about alum Kristine McDivitt Tompkins '72. Tompkins, the former CEO of Patagonia Clothing, is now a prominent conservationist. (Futon Critic)
- After being named interim principal, Kristy Germain '01 is now the full-time principal at Floyd Dryden Middle School in Juneau, Alaska. (Juneau Empire)
- Katy '13 and Ricardo '12 Osuna earned the prestigious James Beard Award in 2019 for their podcast, Copper and Heat. The pair are changing the way people discuss food. (Idaho Press)

- A pair of alums are joining forces in the legal world - Kirk Houston '06 is joining the Smith & Malek law firm. Luke Malek '04 is a partner in the firm. (Idaho Business Review)
- Ali Rabe '10, a state senator and also a member of the College's Board of Trustees, continues to battle homelessness in the Boise Valley as part of her "day job" as the executive director of the Jesse Tree. (KSBX Radio)

- Ever hear the term "Yellowballs?" If you're not sure what that means, ask Dr. Katie Devine. With the help of students, she's done her homework on the topic and some of that research is getting published as we continue to learn more and more about the vast galaxies around us. (Zooniverse)
- A local article about animal shelters included thoughts from business instructor Chris Middleton, who has worked in the pet insurance business. (Idaho Press)
- Forbes ... yes, *that* Forbes ... recently published an article about ways to curb the country's current housing crisis. One of the examples the publication cited? Sawtooth and Owyhee, the two new, modular dorms on the College's campus that were constructed out of de-commissioned shipping containers. (Forbes)

- Senior Kaya Evans, a political economy major, is the kind of well-rounded student the College prides itself on. On top of being a strong student, she's a mentor for other students and a standout performer on the women's soccer team. (BVM Sports)

- Evans was part of the team that traveled to Pocatello to face Idaho State University earlier this spring. The Yotes tied the Bengals, 3-3, the program's first-ever draw against a Division-1 opponent. (Yote Athletics)
- The Yote football team is set to begin its unusual season, pushed back from the fall to the spring, after several amendments and alterations to the original schedule. (East Oregonian)

- The Cascade Conference got creative to have a spring volleyball season - due to competitive restrictions elsewhere, most of the season was played in Idaho, with "pods" of action at the College and Lewis-Clark State. (KDRV-TV)
- The Yotes had a strong week in mid-February, with multiple players earning Cascade Conference Player of the Week honors for their respective teams: Anthony Pannullo, Maddie Smith, and Kylie Atkins were each recognized. (Cascade Conference)
- Brevin Vaughan from Pocatello has signed a letter of intent to continue his education and compete in track and cross country at The College of Idaho (Idaho State Journal)
