- Peggy Anderson '62 played a huge role in gender equity at Eastern Oregon University in LaGrande. Her influence was so strong that the softball facility is affectionately known as "The Peg." The now-81-year-old remains active and will be honored for her contributions by EOU this fall. (LaGrande Observer)
- In Part 6 of a 12-part series of articles about the 50-year history of the Idaho Foundation for Parks and Lands, the contributions of Nelle Tobias '28 are featured. Tobias was honored with the Alumni Service Award in 2001 before passing away in 2005. (Idaho Press)

- It's August, which means Yote football is right around the corner! There's a competition for the starting quarterback spot with returning starter Ryan Hibbs and transfer Andy Peters both working hard to earn the position. - Ed Osterberger (who, coincidentally, was a high school teammate of Peters at Boise's Timberline High) is also working hard to get on the field. The running back has missed nearly the past year and a half after sustaining a knee injury. (Idaho Press)
