Become an Outdoor Program Trip Instructor

Here at the OP, we are always looking to take students at the College on new and exciting adventures. To do that, we work with outdoor enthusiasts from our student body to lead trips into Idaho’s outdoors and beyond. The program offers ample training and mentorship along the way, so no prior experience is necessary. Follow the link below for a deeper dive into the questions and processes interested students will embark on to become a Trip Leader.

Once a student has become a trip instructor, part of their role includes developing future trip ideas for the program! Especially those that they would be interested in leading, be it climbing, rafting, backpacking or something entirely new. Come on to help us shape and broaden the future Outdoor Program trips for our incredible student body and start working to become a trip leader today.
