About Stella Acosta Furlott

Personal Statement

As a native Idahoan, growing up in the rural Wilder-Homedale area, I have always known about the C of I but have never experienced the incredible, supportive, and close-knit community fostered here, until now.  I am honored to be part of the College of Idaho Community and in particular, excited to serve our students with disabilities through our DALE Office as the Accessibility Coordinator.   I bring to this role, over a decade of experience, as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, where I helped individuals and families navigate and overcome various challenges they experienced in life.   In my role as the Accessibility Coordinator, I look forward to helping students and faculty navigate and remediate accessibility challenges that may emerge or be present in the College of Idaho learning and living environments.   I will use my education, skills, and practical experience to help develop relationships with students, faculty, and others to ensure students with disabilities have equal access to educational opportunities and success at the College of Idaho.
