Upon completion of the College’s Master of Science in Data Analytics program, graduates will:
- Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of data science principles and methodologies across core analytical domains including statistical analysis, data management, and business intelligence.
- Apply advanced analytical skills to identify business problems, evaluate complex datasets, and formulate evidence-based conclusions using established frameworks including statistical modeling, predictive analytics, and data mining techniques.
- Evaluate complex data scenarios to make ethical decisions as data professionals while adhering to data privacy regulations, professional standards, and responsible data governance practices.
- Utilize appropriate technological tools, programming languages, and data engineering platforms to enhance data collection, processing, visualization, and reporting in support of strategic business decision-making.
- Integrate theoretical knowledge with practical applications through comprehensive capstone projects that demonstrate mastery of the complete data analytics lifecycle from problem identification through solution implementation and communication of insights to stakeholders.

The College of Idaho’s MSDA program is designed for aspiring or new professionals and for mid-career or seasoned professionals looking to advance their data analytics knowledge and pursue and thrive in data-driven leadership roles in any organization.
During the fall and spring semesters, the instruction for the MSDA will take place on-campus in Caldwell. During the final summer, all courses will be delivered exclusively online with optional in-person or virtual sessions or immersion experiences.
The College’s MACC program is 36 credits or 9 courses. Students take three courses per term, completing the degree in just 12 months. Our MSDA program launches a new cohort each fall.
The College of Idaho’s MSDA program is one of the most affordable data analytics graduate degree programs in the country. Our team took great care in crafting a rigorous, high-quality program, but with cost in mind, to ensure that its program is accessible. As a graduate degree program, financial aid is available, and The College of Idaho offers scholarships for eligible students.
