Placement Assessments

The College of Idaho utilizes placement information to ensure students are in academic schedules that match their degree preparation. Please complete your best independent work. These tools are meant to be taken individually and without the use of external guidance. There are several ways to complete your placement.

  • Complete an ACT or SAT and send a score report to: [email protected]
  • If you do not have ACT/SAT scores and/or the proper math credits from your previous institution, follow the instructions below to take the math placement assessment:  

    • Schedule a test appointment here.  

    • Pay the testing fee of $10 here.   

    • If you are testing online, ensure you have the required technology and space.   

      • Your computer or laptop must have a functioning camera and microphone   

      • Download the Chrome browser if you don’t have it.  

      • Download Microsoft TEAMS if you don’t have it.   

      • Find a private space to take the placement test  

    • Look for an email confirming your scheduled appointment and other email reminders.   

    • Prepare for the math placement assessment by taking practice exams here.   

    • Prepare to enter the Microsoft TEAMS meeting during your scheduled testing time.
