Join us for an evening with acclaimed author, College of Idaho alumnus and retired professor, John Rember, who will return to campus for a public reading and conversation drawn from his newly published three-volume series, Journal of the Plague Years. A former professor and writer-at-large at the College, Rember will share a selection of short readings that reflect on life during and after the Covid-19 pandemic—writing that finds humor, honesty, and small pockets of light in dark and uncertain times. His reflections include vivid material rooted in his years teaching and writing at The College of Idaho, offering both literary insight and a sense of shared history.

The reading will take place in Langroise Recital Hall, followed by a reception with refreshments in the foyer, where guests will have the opportunity to ask questions, connect with the author, and purchase signed copies of his books. Students, staff, faculty, alumni, and community members are warmly invited to attend this thoughtful and engaging evening celebrating writing, resilience, and the enduring power of story.
