- Our Co-Presidents, Jim Everett and Doug Brigham, collaborated to pen an opinion piece for the local media about the importance of diversity on our campus. It was run by the Idaho Statesman, the Idaho Press, the Idaho Education News, and the Twin Falls Times-News.
- Speaking of our Co-President, Jim Everett and Skip Oppenheimer were presented with ICON awards through the Idaho Business Review. Oppenheimer is a former Trustee of the College.
- Ever wonder wonder where the name "Strahorn" came from? The Idaho Statesman took a minute to explain the legacy of Strahorn Hall at The College of Idaho.
- Dr. Kerry Hunter's office is in Strahorn Hall. His name appeared in conjunction with an article in New York this summer and his insight was sought for this article on WalletHub.
- Paula Phelps, a key leader in the College's Physician Assistant partnership program with Idaho State University and parent of two Coyotes (Megan, '18, is in medical school), is the newest member of the Idaho Board of Medicine.
- It was a busy summer for our Whittenberger Planetarium. Director Amy Truksa hosted six shows in July around the Apollo 11 moon landing, the first time a person had stepped foot anywhere but our home planet, and KIVI-TV stopped by to talk about it.
- Our StarLab was also out and about this summer, including as a part of a reading program put on by the Nampa Library.
- Alum Bret Arsenault ('87) is in the news again - this time as a keynote speaker at the National Technology Security Coalition's National CISO Policy Conference.
- Colin Hickman ('05) was featured on KTVB-TV talking about the City of Boise's Plastics Challenge.
- Speaking of KTVB, welcome back to Idaho Mellisa Paul! She attended the College and has had a career that has spanned radio and television from Idaho to California and back.
- Matt Ramsey ('95) helped take the Blue Man Group to the Museum of the City of New York, where fans can see a little of what he does, up close and personal.
- Michelle Hancock ('86) is putting a spin on Shakespeare to engage local teens in Florida.
- Miss Rodeo Idaho 2020, Nicole Jordan ('19), wasted no time getting into the community with this reading event at the Caldwell Public Library, just a couple of weeks after being crowned at the Snake River Stampede in Nampa.
- Amanda Peacher ('05) earned another national award for her work on the story, "Evicted And Homeless, This 14-Year-Old Describes Every Day As 'A Fight,'" for Boise State Public Radio. Along with this Murrow award, she also earned a national Gracie award for this story.
- Chelsea Larsen ('13) and her family have shown great resilience in the face of tragedy. They hosted a festival, KYMFest, in Nampa this summer.
- The College's football team was the pre-season pick to win the Frontier Conference this fall after winning its final six games last season.
- It followed up that news by earning a no. 15 pre-season national ranking, its highest ever. The season starts at home on August 31!
- Congratulations to Molly Vitale-Sullivan of the College's cross country and track & field teams for earning Academic All-American honors! The senior-to-be is just the fifth Coyote woman to earn this award.
- After back-to-back NAIA Final Four appearances, the Coyote men's basketball team announced its incoming recruiting class.
