- We're No. 1! According to the Wall Street Journal, The College of Idaho is once again the top institute of higher learning in the Gem State. News of the ranking was shared by multiple news outlets, including the Idaho Press, KIDO Radio, and Idaho Education News.
- Speaking of the Idaho Education News, it also reported on news of the College's enrollment, which is the highest in the history of the school.
- The Idaho Press reported on the record-breaking enrollment as well.
- The College welcomed new trustees and new leadership to the Board of Trustees. (Idaho Business Review)
- Hispanic Heritage Month runs from mid-September to mid-October and the College's Association of Latin American Students (ALAS) put on some wonderful events to celebrate, including the "Nuestros Corridos" concert. (KIVI-TV)
- Dr. Robin Cruz, who has been a part of the College's math department since 1999, is using her expertise to do great things on our campus and in our community. (PUPN Magazine)
- The College of Idaho football team is competing in the tough Frontier Conference this fall, picking up exciting wins over Southern Oregon and rival Eastern Oregon in recent weeks. The Yotes are averaging 3,804 fans per home game so far this season, up from 3,557 in 2019, when the College ranked third in attendance at the NAIA level.
- Following the win over Southern Oregon, freshman Tanner Leaf earned NAIA National Defensive Player of the Week honors. (Victory Sports Network)

- Freshman Ben Garrick, a native of Dundee, Scotland, netted three goals for the men's soccer team in a big win over Bushnell. (Idaho Press)
- The women's soccer team also picked up a big win, defeating nationally-ranked Eastern Oregon. (Victory Sports Network)
- Head coach Janis Beal announced the addition of six new recruits for the women's basketball team. (Victory Sports Network)
- On September 28, 2021, right-handed pitcher Riley O'Brien '17 became just the second College of Idaho product to reach the major leagues when he pitched for the Cincinnati Reds against the Chicago White Sox. O'Brien retired four batters in his first appearance, two of them via strikeout. The other big-league Yote is Jason Simontacchi, who won 26 games on the mound between 2002 and 2007. (Idaho Press)
- Neva Geisler '94 is the new community engagement and development manager for the City Club of Boise. She's the first person to hold the new position. (Idaho Business Review)
- "Trio," a book that features the poetry of professor and alum Diane Raptosh '83, was featured in the Best American Poetry 2021 Blog.
- Adan De La Paz '03, who now serves the College as its international student services coordinator, was invited to be a featured guest at the first-ever NAFSA All-Region Summit (NAFSA).
