- The College of Idaho men's basketball team defeated Indiana Tech, 73-71, on March 18 to earn the NAIA national title. It is the second national championship for the men's basketball team, the other coming in 1996. As you'd expect, the victory set off a flurry of media coverage. Here's a sampling:

- It was a big year for sophomore Drew Wyman - All-Conference, second-team academic All-American, and second-team All-American (overall). That earned him a little facetime on TV back home in Great Falls, Montana. (ABC Fox Montana)
- When Wyman was a high-school player, he was named Montana's Gatorade Player of the Year. He'll be joined next fall in Caldwell by another Gatorade award-winner from the Treasure State. (Butte Sports)
- From Yotes present and future to Yotes past - a sports publication names Elgin Baylor as one of the top 20 college basketball players of all time. (Sunrise Sports)
- The College's baseball team is having a fine spring as well, including 16 wins in its first 19 homes games. Among them, a four-game sweep over conference foe British Columbia. (UBC News)
- It wasn't a four-game sweep, but the baseballers did split a four-game series at home with nationally-ranked power Lewis-Clark State in early April, including a walk-off win in the series opener. (Victory Sports Network)
- Kyle Erickson has been named the new head basketball coach for the women's program. (Idaho Press)

- College of Idaho alum Ivory Miles Williams '21 has been named the head basketball coach at Rocky Mountain High School in Idaho. Williams, who played in 129 games in his Yotes' career, served as the school's interim coach to end this past season. RMHS is among the largest high schools in the state of Idaho. (KTVB-TV)
- Congratulations Kris Komori '05 on being named a finalist at the James Beard Awards, which is considered arguably the most distinguished award in the restaurant world. He's one of five finalists for Best Chef: Mountain Region. (Idaho Statesman)
- Bret Arsenault ’87 joins Amazon as the first Chief Information Security Officer for Project Kuiper, a series of low-earth-object satellites designed to enable high-speed broadband connections. (City Life)
- Latonia Haney Keith has been sworn in as a new member of Boise City Council, becoming the first black woman ever to serve the city council in Boise. Haney Keith is the College's vice president of high-impact practices. (KTVB-TV)
- Business instructor Seth Ruhter, an expert on bank liquidity, was a guest on the Innovation Matters podcast with Jay Larsen to talk about the Silicon Valley Bank collapse. (Idaho Technology Council)
- Kyle Cheesewright, associate professor of speech and debate, contributed to this piece about the benefits and limitations of counseling for transgender youth. (KTVB-TV)
