Two publications have come out with their latest rankings and analysis of American colleges and universities and both highlight The College of Idaho favorably.

The Fiske Guide to Colleges and College Raptor, both annual publications, both shone a spotlight on the College as the 2024-25 academic year is about to begin.

“It’s wonderful to receive recognition for the high-quality academic and co-curricular programs offered at The College of Idaho.,” said Brian Bava, Vice President of Enrollment Management at the College. “It reaffirms and recognizes how our students are able to take what they learn in the classroom and apply that knowledge to real-world experiences that ultimately helps shape their future careers.”

The 2025 edition of the Fiske Guide to Colleges once again includes The College of Idaho. It doesn’t rank the institutions, but rather profiles 300 colleges and universities nation-wide to help prospective students and their parents learn more and make informed decisions. This marks the 14th consecutive year that the College has been chosen to be profiled in the publication.

College Raptor ranked the College 12th among all Rocky Mountain colleges and universities, the top ranking for an Idaho institution. Factors including graduation rates, campus diversity, endowment per student, retention rate, selectivity, and other metrics are all taken into consideration when calculating College Raptor’s rankings.

“We’re thrilled to be recognized again this year, and we’re excited to welcome another freshman class of highly-talented students to the College this fall,” said Bava.

The College of Idaho has a 133-year-old legacy of excellence. The College is known for its outstanding academic programs, winning athletics tradition, and history of producing successful graduates, including eight Rhodes Scholars, three governors, and countless business leaders and innovators. Its distinctive PEAK Curriculum challenges students to attain competency in the four knowledge peaks of humanities, natural sciences, social sciences, and a professional field—empowering them to earn a major and three minors in four years. The College’s close-knit, residential campus is located in Caldwell, where its proximity both to Boise and to the world-class outdoor activities of southwest Idaho’s mountains and rivers offers unique opportunities for learning beyond the classroom.
