The College of Idaho Co-President Jim Everett has announced his intention to end his tenure as Co-President on June 30, 2024, and transition to a fundraising role.
The official total of $1,053,599 was – by far – the largest amount ever raised by guests at the Gala, surpassing the previous high by nearly a quarter of a million dollars ($810,000 in 2022).
He wanted a book that could take a story about an archaeological site and be able to relate it back to early Hawaiian culture and religion. The triangulation of history (the story), archaeology (the site), and its early origins (the religion).
The two gave a poster presentation titled “Investigating Genetic Diversity of the American Chestnut Planted in the Pacific Northwest.” The presentations took place in a large ballroom, with dozens of posters being presented. Yet Riddle and Sakyi noticed people seemed drawn to their poster.
This year’s Kathryn Albertson Scholarship Competition runs from February 5 to February 16. It is generally reserved for high-school seniors with at least a 3.0 grade-point average who have applied to the College.
On top of the goal of creating a complete informational archive of the Museum’s contents, Clark expects to achieve another goal by enhancing the Museum’s relationship with the community, both the campus community and the surrounding community.
