- Irene Guajardo and Yasmine Pizano, seniors at nearby Caldwell High School, were two of the students from around the state to earn scholarship pledges from the College during recent Hispanic Youth Leadership Summits held in Boise, Twin Falls, and Pocatello. The goal of the pledges was to help make higher education more real - something Guajardo and Pizano definitely say it did. (Caldwell School District)

- Graydon Stanley, a two-time alum of the College ('80 undergraduate, '86 advanced degree), has left his post at North Idaho College but isn't moving too far - he has accepted a role at Walla Walla Community College where he'll work alongside another Yote, WWCC president Chad Hickox '93. - Scroll to about the 2-hour, 20-minute mark of this video and you can see Nicole Jordan '19 get named first-runner-up (second place) at the Miss Rodeo America 2022 contest in Las Vegas. Jordan earned Miss Rodeo Idaho honors in 2020 but, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, served a second year in the role before competing for the Miss Rodeo America crown in early December. - The nationally-ranked men's basketball team is off to a good start this season, including winning the title of its own early-season non-conference tournament, the Domino's Classic. (Idaho Press)
- The Yotes also scored a comeback win over Montana Tech before opening Cascade Conference play with a big win over rival Eastern Oregon. (Idaho Press)
- The same night the men defeated Eastern Oregon, the women staged an amazing comeback, rallying from 19 points down in the final quarter to force overtime, before coming up just short. (Yote Athletics)
- The women's soccer team reached the NAIA national tournament, but got a tough draw - opening the tournament with the defending national champion on its home field. The Yotes played a strong game, but ultimately fell in the opening round. (Victory Sports Network)

- The Yotes football team missed the NAIA national playoffs despite sharing the Frontier Conference's league title, the third consecutive conference title (sole or shared) for the football program. The seven victories mean five straight years above .500 for the team with a chance to tie the school's all-time record of six straight winning seasons next fall. That mark was set from 1924 to 1929 under Hall of Fame coach Anse Cornell. (Idaho Press)
