Jodi Nafzger

BIO Jodi oversees The College’s institutional response to reports of sex-based misconduct under Title IX and other protected class harassment and discrimination. She also directs The College’s Department of Accessibility & Learning Excellence which provides students with disabilities equal access to educational opportunities. In addition to her administrative responsibilities, Jodi teaches criminal justice-related courses at The College. Prior to her work with The College, Jodi was a founding faculty member at Concordia University School of Law where she taught Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure, Evidence, and Professional Responsibility. She also taught at the University of Idaho College of Law for one academic year. Jodi is a former Assistant Boise City Attorney, where she was dedicated to domestic violence cases and, as a legal advisor to local police departments, she provided regular police training and on-call search and seizure advice and instructed at Idaho Peace Officer Standards and Training. Jodi is a member of several sections of the Idaho State Bar, including the Professionalism & Ethics Section, the Anti-Discrimination and Anti-Harassment Committee, and the Child Protection Section. She also serves on the Board of Directors for JEMfriends, a non-profit organization that helps youth who are aging out of the foster system. Kyle Sales

BIO Kyle is the Chief Financial Officer at The College of Idaho. During the preceding 10+ years, he served in a similar role for a technology and services business. Prior to those positions, Kyle worked in finance at a private equity family office. He began his career in public accounting as a CPA in the Assurance, Tax, and Consulting practices of a large firm. Reagan Rossi

BIO Reagan Rossi started at The College in 1995 as an assistant on the Women’s Basketball coaching staff when the College reinstated the women’s basketball program. She went on to pursue other coaching opportunities and returned to the College in 2001 as the Head Women’s Basketball Coach. During her time as the head coach she also assumed the role of Title IX Coordinator, which she held for 11 years. She served as the Associate AD for three years while coaching before moving into that position full time in 2014. In 2016, Rossi was promoted to Athletic Director. In 2021, she was elevated to Vice President of Athletics. Rossi is very active in the Cascade Collegiate Conference, the NAIA and with NACDA serving on several boards and committees. She has been named CCC Athletic Director of the year five times, the NAIA Athletics Director the Year in 2022 and NACDA Cushman & Wakefield Athletic Director of the Year in 2022-2023. David Douglass

BIO David Douglass became the 16th president of the College of Idaho on June 1, 2025. He is an internationally-known educator who has taught, consulted, presented research, and directed institutes in North and South America, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East. Over the course of his administrative career, Douglass has served as an Executive Vice President, Provost, Vice President of Academic Affairs, and Dean. Functionally, his roles have included President, Chief Academic Officer (CAO), Chief Student Affairs Officer (CSAO), and Accreditation Officer (ALO), and his portfolio has included oversight of departments ranging from Information Technology to Varsity Athletics. His administrative initiatives have included graduate programs, a Faculty Commons, a Learning Commons, and a Recreational Commons, as well as Centers for Quantitative Analysis and Design (QUAD) and Language Learning. He Co-founded (with Robert Trapp) the International Debate Education Association (IDEA) Center and directed Advocacy Institutes in locations ranging from Dikili, Turkey to Xian, China. Prior to his career as an administrator, Douglass earned his Ph.D. at Penn State, where he taught in the Developmental Year Program for first-generation students. Thereafter, he accepted a tenure-track position in the Department of Civic Communication and Media at Willamette University, a private liberal arts college in Salem, Oregon. As a member of the faculty, he taught courses in language theory, persuasion, argumentation, and debate. He served on tenure and promotion and curricular development committees, and directed or co-directed the World Views Program (with Cesie Delve-Scheuermann), the Compass Program, and the Ecuador Foreign Study Program, among others. During this period He was named Professor of the Year on three separate occasions. In terms of scholarship and service, Douglass has published monographs on a variety of topics related to persuasion, pedagogy, and language theory, and he served as Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of the Northwest Communication Association from 2002-2006. He has been appointed to Boards or Steering Committees of the Council of Independent Colleges (CIC), the NIH-funded Idaho INBRE program, the International Debate Education Association, and the Lilly Advisory, among others. He is the recipient of the Hazel Award for service to the Northwest region, and in 2010 his administration received the President’s Award, the highest federal recognition for community service by a college. Douglass was raised in the village of Agat, Guam, a US territory in Micronesia located in the western Pacific. His family later moved stateside to the San Joaquin Valley in California, where he attended high school and met his future wife, Lily Yee Wong, who works as a flight crew member for Delta Airlines. The couple has three sons, Zachary, Jackson, and Nolan, and resides in Caldwell, Idaho, with their Vizsla, Tucker. Jack Cafferty

BIO Jack Cafferty ’97 returned to The College of Idaho in July of 2012 as Director of Development. He successfully led the Development team through the final 5 years of the $175M “Advance the Legacy” campaign and led all major gift coordination and planned giving efforts. In May 2018, Jack became Associate Vice-President for College Relations, serving as an interim Vice President and taking on direction of the Development and Alumni & Parent Relations departments. Jack became Vice President for College Relations in April 2019 and quickly began orchestrating the $150M “Changing the Story” Comprehensive Campaign alongside Co-Presidents Brigham and Everett. In 2022, Jack added the Special Events department to the College Relations team. Prior to his work at The College of Idaho, Jack led a successful fundraising program as Director of The Peregrine Fund’s World Center for Birds of Prey for more than 11 years. In addition, he managed the Interpretive Center operations, volunteer program, and maintenance team for the 580 acres. Early in his career, upon graduation from the College, Jack worked in corporate real estate at Albertsons. Jack met his wife Ashley ’97 at the College on the bus to Sawtooth Orientation and his purple passion for the Yotes has spread to his two sons as well. Doug Brigham

BIO After serving his alma mater in the role of Co-President for six years, Doug Brigham ’87 assumed the role as President of The College of Idaho in June 2024 following the retirement of President Emeritus Jim Everett and then became the College’s Chief Executive Officer in June 2025. After earning his undergraduate degree from the College, Brigham went on to earn an MBA from Boise State University. He had a successful 20-year career in financial and operational leadership with Washington Group International (formerly Morrison Knudsen Corporation), serving as Corporate Treasurer, Corporate Controller, before finishing his career as Senior Vice President for Operations & Maintenance. In 2008, he joined TitleOne Corporation as one of the company’s employee owners. During Brigham’s tenure TitleOne became one of the premier regional title & escrow agents in the western United States. The company now has offices throughout the state of Idaho and has been named one of the top ten “Best Places to Work in Idaho” in the large employer category multiple times. Brigham maintained close contact throughout this period with The College of Idaho, teaching finance courses, serving on the Board of Trustees, and leading the Board as Chair from 2015 through 2017. Paul Bennion

BIO Paul R. Bennion currently serves as the Vice President for Student Affairs & Dean of Students at The College of Idaho. Dr. Bennion leads a Student Affairs Division comprising nine functional areas, and he teaches in the College’s Leadership Specialization Program. Dr. Bennion currently serves as Past Chair for the NASPA (Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education) Foundation, and he has held numerous other regional and national NASPA positions, including Director of Region V (Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Washington). Dr. Bennion is a recipient of the NASPA Fred Turner Award for Outstanding Service to the Association, Scott Goodnight Award for Outstanding Performance as a Dean, and recognized as a Pillar of the Profession. Dr. Bennion earned his doctorate degree from the University of Idaho, his master’s degree from Boston University, and his bachelor’s degree from Willamette University. Dr. Bennion is a former participant in the Fulbright Seminar for U.S. Administrators in International Education, and he completed the American Academic Leadership Institute’s year-long program. Dr. Bennion was raised in the Treasure Valley and currently serves in the community as a Trustee for the Boise School District. He has three children – one in graduate school, one a junior in college, and one a senior in high school. Dr. Bennion is married to Christina Bruce-Bennion, who serves as the Executive Director of the Wassmuth Center for Human Rights in Boise. Brian Bava

BIO Brian Bava serves as vice president of enrollment management at The College of Idaho. Bava previously served in numerous roles in the Office of Admission at the College from 2005 – 2013, and returned to leadership team in January 2018. In his role as vice president of enrollment management, Bava oversees the admission and financial aid operations for the school along with assisting with international recruitment where needed. Bava grew up in Tokyo, Japan and Seoul, South Korea, before returning to the United States to attend the Armand Hammer United World College of the American West (UWC – USA) to complete high school and earn his International Baccalaureate diploma. Bava received his bachelor’s degree in international studies and history from The American University in Washington, D.C., and also holds a master’s of education in education leadership from the University of Idaho. Latonia Haney Keith

BIO Latonia Haney Keith currently serves on the executive leadership team of The College of Idaho as Dean of Graduate Studies and Vice President of Strategic Initiatives, overseeing the School of Graduate Studies, the Office of Institutional Ethics & Compliance and the Marketing & Communication Division. Vice President Haney Keith joined The College from Concordia University School of Law where she served most recently as Interim Dean and Associate Dean of Academics. Vice President Haney Keith originally joined the faculty of Concordia Law as the Director of Clinical Education. In this role, she directed Concordia Law’s clinical education program, teaching law students the practice of law through the representation of disadvantaged and underserved populations in housing, criminal, and immigration matters. Prior to joining Concordia Law, Vice President Haney Keith spent nearly seven years running a world-wide pro bono practice at a large law firm based in Chicago. After graduating from Harvard Law School, where she was a research assistant to Professor Laurence H. Tribe and Professor Charles Ogletree and an editor of and symposium co-chair for the Harvard Law Review, Vice President Haney Keith clerked for the Honorable Judith Ann Wilson Rogers on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit. In March 2023, Vice President Haney Keith was confirmed by Mayor Lauren McLean as a Boise City Councilmember, representing District 3 through the remainder of the 2023 calendar year. In March 2020, she was confirmed by City Council as a Commissioner of the Capital City Development Corporation (CCDC), the redevelopment and urban renewal agency for Boise, Idaho, and currently serves as its Chair. Andrew Gades

Andrew Gades joined The College of Idaho faculty in 2014. In the Music Department he taught a wide range of courses including standard music theory and aural skills courses, courses on film and game soundtracks, sacred music, counterpoint, musical form, music technology, classes exploring the intersection of music and gender, and applied lessons in composition and organ. Influenced by liberal arts ideals and the unique needs of music departments at liberal arts colleges, Dr. Gades redesigned the music theory curriculum at the College of Idaho. His innovative approach has become a model for several institutions, both public and private, across the country. Dr. Gades began work in the Dean’s Office in 2019 as an associate dean and then stepped into the Interim Dean position in 2024. He is also an active member of regional and national music theory societies having served as president of the Rocky Mountain Society for Music Theory and is currently the chair of the Society for Music Theory’s IT committee.
