John Fawcett
With a performance reputation extending from the West Coast to the Philharmonie de Paris, John Fawcett is among the newest generation of musicians seeking to bring a novel beauty to the repertoire. Among a select few of his appearances with orchestras throughout the country and beyond include the American Youth Symphony in Los Angeles, the Oregon Mozart Players and an Italian tour with pianist Martha Argerich. John has played with several orchestras and chamber groups, including the New York String Orchestra, the Aspen Chamber Symphony, Pink Martini, and now the Langroise Trio.
Raised in Central Oregon, working with the Boise Philharmonic and teaching at The College of Idaho is a move that makes a full circle back to his native Pacific Northwest roots. John has recently completed degrees from the Cleveland Institute of Music and the Colburn School, where he has been blessed to work with some of the finest pedagogues by the likes of Paul Kantor, Jaime Laredo and Robert Lipsett. He owes much credit to his teachers, family and his peers that have supported him along the road of his endeavors.
