The College of Idaho is proud to celebrate alumnus Christopher Farnsworth on the release of his newest novel, Robert B. Parker’s Big Shot, publishing February 10, 2026, with G. P. Putnam’s Sons.
The novel marks Farnsworth’s second entry in the iconic Jesse Stone series, originally created by legendary author Robert B. Parker. In Big Shot, police chief Jesse Stone faces off against a powerful billionaire who believes his wealth places him above the law. When the man disappears and evidence points toward Jesse, the chief must fight to uncover the truth and prove his innocence.
Farnsworth brings a strong investigative lens to the story, shaped by his early career as a reporter in Arizona and California. His writing explores themes of corruption, accountability, and integrity—hallmarks of both the Jesse Stone character and Farnsworth’s own work.
A longtime fan of Parker’s novels, Farnsworth has gone on to publish internationally, with books translated into multiple languages and optioned for film and television. He currently lives in Los Angeles with his family.
The College of Idaho community congratulates Christopher Farnsworth on this exciting achievement and looks forward to the continued success of his work.
