Idaho Governor Brad Little signed a proclamation to recognize Wednesday, March 22, 2023, as “College of Idaho NAIA Basketball Champions Day.” Little read the proclamation on video, which was then shown to an enthusiastic crowd that night assembled at the J.A. Albertson Activities Center to welcome the team back to Caldwell.
Just four days earlier, the Yotes defeated Indiana Tech, 73-71, to earn the school’s second national title.
“The entire YoteFam is honored to receive such recognition from Governor Little and the state of Idaho,” said head coach Colby Blaine. “We look forward to celebrating every year and continuing the positive impact we can have in our community and state.”
