For the eighth year in a row, The College of Idaho will be counted among the nation’s best colleges with inclusion in the 2019 edition of the Fiske Guide to Colleges.

One of the top independent voices in college admissions, the Fiske Guide to Colleges is compiled annually by former New York Times education editor Edward B. Fiske as a resource for college bound students and their families to take an insider’s look at more than 300 four-year schools in the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom. The guide is thoroughly updated each year with extensive profiles for each school, including feedback from current students.

The C of I is listed as the guide’s only liberal arts school between the Rocky Mountains and the West Coast and lauded for its innovative PEAK curriculum and emphasis on experiential learning, as well as professors who are “masters at their craft” and an atmosphere that is focused on “hard work, great opportunities, and a healthy amount of fun.”

“C of I has much to offer its Yotes,” reads C of I’s entry in the 2019 edition of the guide. “They enjoy a well-designed liberal arts education and personal academic attention on a campus striving to keep its offerings on the cutting edge. What’s more, students here are encouraged to take an active role in the school’s future.”

Fiske Guide to Colleges 2019 is now available for purchase in paperback through Amazon, and an interactive online edition of the guide is available through a 12-month subscription to Fiske Interactive Online at www.collegecountdown.com.

The College of Idaho has a 127-year-old legacy of excellence. The C of I is known for its outstanding academic programs, winning athletics tradition and history of producing successful graduates, including seven Rhodes Scholars, three governors, and countless business leaders and innovators. Its distinctive PEAK Curriculum challenges students to attain competency in the four knowledge peaks of humanities, natural sciences, social sciences and a professional field—empowering them to earn a major and three minors in four years. The College’s close-knit, residential campus is located in Caldwell, where its proximity both to Boise and to the world-class outdoor activities of southwest Idaho’s mountains and rivers offers unique opportunities for learning beyond the classroom.  For more information, visit www.collegeofidaho.edu.
