  • It’s our last newsletter of the year, which means it’s not just the holiday season — it’s a time to reflect on all the great things that have happened across 2017! Reflect with us as we head into 2018 with this special 2017 C of I Year in Review video here!

  • C of I senior football player Nate Moore received two honors at the close of the football season. For the third straight year, Moore was honored as an American Football Coaches Association NAIA All-American, becoming the first NAIA player ever to become a three-time AFCA pick. Moore was also named as a first-team selection for the first ever NAIA All-America Team. Moore is also a finalist for the Cliff Harrison Award as Small College Defensive Player of the Year. Moore helped to led the Coyotes to a 6-5 record with a team-high 96 tackles on the season, finishing his final year with the school record of 324 tackles overall. The Idaho Press-Tribune featured Moore’s achievements in an article here!
  • Coyote Athletics Roundup: A total of 21 student-athletes were honored as Daktronic-NAIA Scholar Athletes for the fall, including eight from football, six from women’s soccer, three each from volleyball and men’s soccer, and one cross-country runner. • Over the last few weeks, C of I has been participating in the first ever Helmet Bowl, hosted by Helmet Tracker. The website has been on the search for the nation’s best college football helmet, and thanks to our devoted YoteFam fans, C of I’s helmet was entered into the 64-team single-elimination national bracket!
  • The Yote Helmet has taken on some strong opponents in each week-long round. Seeded at No. 8 in the national bracket, C of I has managed to topple the No. 9 Fort Lewis Skyhawks, No. 1 NW Missouri State Bearcats, and the No. 6 University of Oregon Ducks on its way to the Quarterfinals. The Yotes are the final NAIA team left in the tournament, but together with the Galludet University Bison (the other small school left in the bracket), we’re determined to make it all the way to the finals!
