Dr. Lesya Stallings earned her Ph.D. in Accounting from Kennesaw State University in 2025. She holds a Master of Science in Accountancy from the University of St. Thomas, and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting with a minor in Finance from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln.

Her research interests include capital markets, financial analysts, ESG reporting, and accounting education. Her research has appeared in Issues in Accounting Education, and her current projects examine topics related to analysts’ information environments, corporate disclosure, and firm-level climate risk.

Her teaching experience includes courses in financial accounting, advanced accounting, accounting data analytics, and accounting information systems at the College of Idaho and Boise State University. She enjoys incorporating practical applications, data analysis, and professional experiences into the classroom to help students connect accounting concepts with real-world decision making.

Prior to entering academia, Dr. Stallings worked in both public accounting and industry, including professional experience with Deloitte, PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), and CBRE. Her professional background continues to inform both her teaching and research.
