The College of Idaho is a small, private liberal arts institution with a long-standing history of academic excellence and a fraternal history spanning over 85 years. Membership in a national fraternity or sorority provides opportunities for students to broaden their educational experiences during their time at the College. The role of fraternities and sororities is to promote academics, enrich personal lives, and serve the community. The College of Idaho recognizes this role and encourages Greek contributions and presence.

Established at the College in 1988 as Sigma Chi Alpha, the group received its charter as the Kappa Lambda Chapter of Sigma Chi International on January 29, 1994. With a strong emphasis on a high GPA and community service, Sigma Chi is an active organization at CofI, committed to making the campus and the surrounding area a better place.

Kappa Alpha Theta of The Eta Eta Chapter creates a strong sense of sisterhood, fostering dear friendships that last a lifetime. On-campus — even as the academic world becomes more complex and impersonal—Theta creates an atmosphere of family and community. Its signature philanthropy event, Mr. CASAnova, raises money every single year for CASA.

The college women of the Zeta Pi Chapter of Kappa Kappa Gamma are dedicated to living out the ideals of philanthropy, leadership, scholarship, and sisterhood. At C of I, KKG women make a difference at the College through high levels of campus involvement and in the Caldwell community by visiting local elementary schools to read and donate books.
