The College of Idaho Senior Nimo Abdi Earns Marion B. Sewer Scholarship

The College of Idaho senior Nimo Abdi is one of 10 students nationwide to receive the 2026 Marion B. Sewer Distinguished Scholarship from the American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. A biomedical science and philosophy major, Abdi studies the intersection of immunology and metabolism.

Abdi credits mentorship from Luis Cedeno-Rosario at the University of Utah with helping lead to this honor.
