Through our Residence Life program, we create a sense of community and prepare you for lifelong learning. By living on our campus, Yotes form strong community bonds and enjoy convenient access to classes, academic resources, personal support services and our vibrant campus life. As residential living is central to the learning environment at The College of Idaho, students live in campus housing for three years (or six semesters).
Family housing is available to students with dependent children. The College owns a limited number of houses in the south blocks of campus and these houses can be utilized as family housing. Family housing is prioritized for students with dependent children, and then staff and faculty. These houses are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Pricing for these houses is determined by the number of rooms and includes sewer, water, and trash.

Whether you live on- or off-campus, all new and first-year students are required to submit a Community Living Agreement (CLA) no later than July 1. The Community Living Agreement is where you will rank your housing preferences. It’ll also help the ResLife team get to know you so that they can match you with the perfect roommate. The sooner you submit this, the sooner you will learn which floor you’ll call home next year!
If you want to petition to waive the housing and/or meal plan requirements, please contact your Admission Counselor or reslife@collegeofidaho.edu or complete the Petition Form.
